Ready to Take on a Week-Long Challenge? Here are Seven Things to Do in Seven Days
What you do in a week can plant the seeds of life you’ve always dreamed about..
While seven days are not enough to change your life, you can definitely start small in the hopes that they kill the bad ones. Something happens in your life each day that has power to start new beginnings for you.
Yup!! The above image exactly shows how I am feeling for 2023.
Here is a to-do for the next seven days
Monday
Once you wrap up work, spend one hour on something you are passionate about. It could be anything — art, music, film, books, dance, a personal project… anything that makes you look forward to your evening once you sign out of work. There are certain things that complete our moments and seal them up a wholesomeness that does not seek the world’s intervention. Help yourself to those moments on a Monday evening. Trust me, it is worth it.
Tuesday
Call up that friend who matters the most to you but you haven’t had a heart-to-heart in the recent past because everyday details/small talk keeps getting in the way. Vacuuming out our deepest thoughts to someone who’s there to hear you out is the most cathartic feeling ever, isn’t it?
Wednesday
Lose the ‘lol’ or the ‘haha’ in a vulnerable text. We’re too busy rationing intensity lest we are laid bare in front of others. Screw that. Send that text over, free yourself up. It is too damn liberating to not try it.
Thursday
Reach out to your family or anyone who is like family and spend an hour with them. There are people and there are people who know you inside-out. Shared knowledge ushers in a comfort that is irreplaceable.
Friday
Make a plan for the weekend. It could be a night in or a night out. Anything. Just plan it. Hyping up these details builds anticipation which is mostly what keeps anyone alive, TBH.
Saturday
Sit with yourself for an hour and do nothing. Yes, nothing. Let your thoughts flow in. See what your mind wanders to. See how it reviews the last six days. I am pretty sure you’ll bump into some interesting insights.
Sunday
Step out. Do your weekend thing. Recuperate. Recharge. And start looking forward to your Monday evening activity!
More love,
